Accessibility Statement
Last updated: August 2026
Our Commitment
Jon Marashi, DDS, APDC is committed to making drmarashi.com usable by as many people as possible, including patients who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time project, and this page is maintained by our practice to describe where we are today.
Standard We Work Toward
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as our reference standard. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities. We aim to conform to Level AA and review the site against these criteria as we make changes.
Measures We Take
- Semantic HTML structure with a single main heading and logical heading order on every page.
- Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, and empty alternative text for purely decorative ones.
- Keyboard operability for navigation, forms, accordions, dialogs, and the chat assistant, with visible focus indicators.
- Accessible names on icon-only controls, and descriptive titles on embedded maps and media.
- Form fields paired with programmatic labels and inline, text-based error messages rather than color alone.
- Captions and a written transcript for the video message from Dr. Marashi.
- Responsive layouts that support zoom and reflow down to small viewports without horizontal scrolling.
- An accessibility toolbar (accessiBe) that lets visitors adjust contrast, text size, spacing, and motion preferences on demand.
Known Limitations
Some areas of the site may not yet fully meet our target. We are aware of the following and are working to improve them:
- Embedded third-party content, such as Google Maps and social media embeds, is controlled by those providers and may not meet the same standard.
- Some older photography and press material may have limited descriptive text.
We do not claim that the site is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA at this time, and we do not present this statement as an independent audit or certification.
Third-Party Content
Portions of this site rely on services operated by others, including mapping, scheduling, review, and analytics providers. We select vendors with accessibility in mind where we have a choice, but we cannot guarantee the accessibility of content we do not control.
