Dr MarashiQuestions. Answers.  Information.

You have a choice when selecting your dental care expert.  While our team trusts you feel confident in selecting Dr. Marashi, here are a few questions you should always ask your dentist coupled with Dr. Marashi’s answers.

What You Should Ask When Selecting Your Dentist

What type of special training have you had?

Dr. Marashi graduated with Honors in esthetic Dentistry from New York University. He went on to complete a general practice residency program while achieving certification in several of the most advanced continuing education courses offered in dentistry. Dr. Marashi is an instructor for the premier continuing education course, through which he has taught dentists from all over the world how to create beautiful smiles. Dr. Marashi serves as a consultant to major dental manufacturers, helping with the development and testing of new dental materials and products.

How many veneers have you placed on patients?

Patients rave about Dr. Marashi’s skill and care during the veneer process.  That might explain how he has placed over 15,000 veneers with incredible success!

Can you show me examples of work you have personally done that specifically resembles my situation?

Dr. Marashi maintains an extensive photo library of all his cases. They are his own work, and because he has helped so many smiles, there is sure to be something similar to yours! Many dentists use brochures made by marketing companies or dental manufacturers featuring beautiful smiles to show patients what certain dental procedures can do for them.  The problem is that the dentist did not actually do the work!  Dr. Marashi takes pride in his work and promises to show you samples similar to your dental situation done exclusively by him.

Tell me about the lab that fabricates the porcelain?

Dr. Marashi only uses the finest porcelain and works with the top master ceramists in the world. This allows for the most natural, beautiful looking smiles. Many dentists use inferior dental labs because they can decrease their overhead costs. Lesser dental labs are not capable of creating the high quality porcelain restorations you deserve.

Will you be the person who actually hand-sculpts my smile? How?

Dr. Marashi bonds a solid piece of plastic to your existing teeth as a dental temporary.  In about an hour, Dr. Marashi will hand-sculpt that block into a beautiful sculpture—a new set of teeth for your temporary dental restorations. This will serve as a preview for you and Dr. Marashi to evaluate your new smile before the permanent restorations are placed. Of course, the shape, size, color and function of the teeth can be evaluated and revised if needed. This method is the ONLY predictable way to know what your smile will look like prior to completion. From his hand-sculpted temporaries, molds of them will be provided, along with all the relevant photos of the face and smile, for his ceramist to replicate into the final porcelain units.

***Dr. Marashi does not rely on wax molds or any pre-fabricated models made by a lab technician to create your smile. While this is the technique that most dentists use, it can unfortunately lead to a "one-size fits all" appearance of the teeth. ***

What happens if I do not like my temporary veneers and/or permanent veneers?

Dr. Marashi sculpts your temporaries to your satisfaction before the permanent restorations are fabricated. You will also have an opportunity to view your porcelain restorations before they are permanently bonded to your teeth.

Have you been published in any dental journals?

Dr. Marashi is an accomplished author, whose work has been published in the leading dental journals. He recently co-authored a chapter in the textbook of a famous New York City plastic surgeon, providing his expertise in smile enhancement relating to other facial features.
